Today we received notification from the LAN (LEGO(R) Ambassador Network) that Brick Central LUG’s Tier Placement had been reviewed. We have now been awarded RLUG Tier 2 status – the highest tier that a LUG can achieve!

This is fantastic news for the LUG!

It means we have now been acknowledged as a Lead LUG: leading engagement with the values and culture of the LEGO Community Program, by generating new ideas that will renew and grow their membership. As part of our commitment to the additional responsibilities of being a Tier 2 Lug, we will continue to develop activities and initiatives that extend beyond our membership, for example, by organising fantastic public events (as prevailing Government guidelines apply).

As a result of fulfilling the requirements of this higher tier, the LUG will have access to additional support from the LEGO Group, which includes earlier access to programs such as Project Support (which helps us to create collaborative building projects within our membership) and schemes which enable the LUG to recognise and reward the activity and engagement of our members.

We’re looking forward to growing and developing together with existing and new members, especially with the “new normal” that we are currently facing. The Committee is currently working on plans to continue providing LEGO based activities, even if we can’t get together in person right now. No virus will knock our bricks down!

Have fun and stay safe.
