A huge congratulations from everybody at Brick Central to our fellow member Justin, on his fantastic achievement coming runner up in the LEGO ideas Moments in Space competition.
Those that know Justin will know he is very fond of classic space, so a space themed competition was always right up his alley. On this occasion Justin resisted reaching for Benny and created this amazing build, The First Boy on the Moon.
Wanting to create something different from his usual style, Justin worked with input from his three children.
The Lunar Lander detaches from the moon surface providing playability; the Rover is also fully functional.
Model is built on a 16 x 16 stud LEGO baseplate and consists of ~265 pieces.
