Name: Jill Ubdegrove
Position: Website Co-Ordinator
Favourite LEGO® Theme: I have a lot of Star Wars sets, and Marvel sets so I would say they are my favorite by default, but I also like to see any movie themed sets – like Ghostbusters and Back to the Future.
I am painfully new to the MOC world, and yet to embark on working on something that isn’t brought in the LEGO® store… but it’s certainly in my plans, and having recently moved house I’m currently creating a projects area that will include loose bricks storage – I’ve been collecting a number of bricks over the past couple of years, but not yet put brick to brick so to speak. Watch this space…
What got you back in to LEGO®?
There was never a long gap between childhood and getting back into LEGO®, when the first Indiana Jones and Star Wars sets came out back in the day, I jumped right back in no problem. In recent years, the amount of sets I buy has increased quite a lot!
I am an old school web developer dating back to those mad early days of gifs and html skills, since then I turned my hobby into a new career before moving slightly into event online marketing – previously working on The Ski Show, Ideal Home Show, Grand Designs live and many more. At one time I was in charge of over 10 live event websites, and now work as a freelance marketing consultant, incorporating website development when needed. I’ve worked on a few Brick Festivals, that finally opened my eyes to the LUG!
Why do you like being a member of Brick Central?
I like what it represents, and being able to explore even more with LEGO® that I hadn’t previously considered. Everyone seems so friendly and I know once I get my hands into MOCs and working on projects that I’ll have some great support around me.
