What got you back in to LEGO®?
I never really grew out of LEGO®, though for a few years as a teenager I didn’t actively pursue the hobby though I always had a few of my favourite sets in my room. While at Uni, I was out shopping with a friend for her brother’s birthday present, when, in the toyshop, I saw the 2011 Millennium Falcon. I just had to take her home with me! Soon after, the VW camper came out, and from there the collection grew. And grew. And grew.
Due to cancelled shows, not having my own 4 wheeled transport and 2020 happening, I haven’t yet displayed at a show, though that will hopefully change by the end of this year! I do however MOC a lot, and partake in plenty of build-offs on social media.
Why do you like being a member of Brick Central?
I love being in contact with like-minded geeks with whom I can share ideas, MOCs, and inspiration, as well as just have a chat! The pandemic has been a blessing in disguise for me as it got me in contact with many of the members of BC, through the Zoom sessions, who I am now fortunate enough to call friends! I am also very proud to represent the LUG on the Organising Committee, and I hope that my previous experience running various organisations and student societies as well as my passion for LEGO® building will help me become a valued asset to the LUG!
